When?
Mentoring is an ongoing process, and communication needs to be regular and consistent. Jekielek (2002) suggests mentoring is more effective if it occurs over a long period of time.
For mentoring at Brisbane North Institute of TAFE , the program occurs over the space of a semester and some communication should at least occur each week.
