Recognition of previous study or experience
If you have the skills and just need the qualification to prove it, enquire at BNIT about Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
You can gain credit towards a part or full qualification by demonstrating how your current skills, knowledge and experience meet the learning outcomes of the qualification. Experience can include work or life skills gained by you in any setting, so be sure to take the time to discuss your RPL eligibility with us.
Examples of evidence could include work samples, practical demonstrations, references, performance reviews and a wide range of other documents and formats. Contact the Recognition of Prior Learning Unit on 07 3258 5001 before enrolling to discuss your RPL options.
Bridging programs
BNIT offers a range of programs to help you on your learning pathway.
The Access 10 Program (Year 10 alternative) aims to develop English and mathematical skills to bring you to a recognised level from which you can enter post-year 10 study, gain employment or achieve other personal goals.
The Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation program is designed to help you satisfy university prerequisites if you haven't completed Year 12 at school and is the year 12 alternative for mature aged students. Successful completion provides you with a Tertiary Entrance Rank that is used by universities to select students for their programs.
