On completion of your studies
Receiving your academic results
On completion of your studies, you will typically be issued with some form of documentation to advise you of your results. There are two major types of results documents that you may receive on completion of your studies:
Award Certificate and Award Elements List
If you have completed all requirements for a formal qualification, you will be issued with an Award Certificate. Your award will be issued within a 21 day period from the time that you become eligible for that award. You will become eligible once official results have been entered for all program elements that contribute to that award.
An award will be accompanied by an Awards Elements List when issued, which is similar to an Academic Transcript but shows only program elements that have contributed to your completion of the award. If in this List you are unable to see certain subjects you have completed for the program, it will usually mean that you have completed additional subjects in excess to program requirements for the purpose of a better learning outcome or improved opportunities in industry.
Result of Assessment (ROA)
Whenever a new overall grade is added for a subject (i.e. for the whole subject, not individual assessments) you will automatically be issued a Result of Assessment (ROA). These are official documents that indicate your completion of subjects and can be used to formally demonstrate your completion of subjects. Depending on when your grades are recorded, you may find that you receive multiple ROA documents or multiple subject results on the one ROA document, as these documents are a transcript of all new grades that have been added.
